I have a dozen home movies and dig8 Hi8, and I'm saving on your computer. There are several steps that have yet to learn. 1) Is it possible to edit movies with Movie Maker XP? As amended in white parts between different events? 2) Do I close other programs on the computer while I capture the images? Some scenes seem to be frozen. 3) How do I save movie files on an external hard drive? The external drive connects via a USB cable. the movies I enter in a D drive and then copied on the external hard drive? Please help us.
1) Yes, but it is necessary to keep the short clips. It is a memory hog. In addition, it is recorded in uncompressed video for every time you modify and save you the quality in bulk. Keep minimized. 2) Yes, close all unnecessary programs. Your videos are indicative frozen frames. Take only the speaker and the manager of removable devices in the toolbar. Kill all virus scanners, time synchronization programs, processes, background, and not absolutely necessary your system. Take the Internet during the capture. By using the services of the> administrator to stop all services and background programs antivirus. Defragment your hard drive before the catch. I have an entity that is on my system which is only used to capture video. "I can change format prior to each capture session just to keep the information clean and sequentially. After making the move files to another disk to store and edit. I can make copies of uncompressed RAW files for future editing or system problem corrupts the original. 3) At least one SATA External UltraSCSI disk or forget. You use FireWire to capture. If you use the firewire drive in the FireWire controller to capture, record the same problems which were under fallen. Forget USB video capture uncompressed. Too slow for video quality. It can be used for video low quality (small frame rates and slower frame). If you have 2 FireWire drivers for your computer, then by all means use firewire.
