Why study computer programming?
Back in the early days of computer education, there has been a surge "Computer Literacy". This sentence is all but dead, but there is clearly a need for educated people with some level of comfort with computers. The question is the depth of knowledge to be? Most people have no idea how a computer really works. OK? At a time when people have assumed that everyone would have to learn any programming. This idea seems to be out of favor, but do you think should be? Is it really necessary to think of computer literacy? Or are the teams and cars, as reliable and pervasive that the average person does not really need, not knowing nothing but the surface level of functioning? Where is it all programming?
It depends on your profession. However, some knowledge will not hurt. For example, if you use software such as Word or Excel, you can increase your productivity by writing macros simple.
