Is computer programming a good job / to enter the field?
I think going to a field that has to do with computers and technology and I was wondering what the advantages and disadvantages of it are and how long do I intend to stay in school lol. I know My cousin ended up going to school for almost 7 years since it changed specialty.
I love being a programmer, I can not imagine doing anything else. I love the constant challenge of new problems to solve, and the need to find a better solution. Something that many people outside the field that is constantly continue to learn new technologies. I know that many COBOL programmers who love the work because outsourcing, but still do not accept responsibility for not bowing newest technology. Me I remember the teachers high school were all CoBOOL, COBOL, COBOL. They werent that when I showed my first offer letter that I received and accepted one week before graduation. He came to save the schools first job is more than double the first old, and almost as much as Dean university does. And I was developing C Windows 3.1. Fortunately I have not had to touch escape from COBOL course which put me in, find the oldest store they could find COBOL put me in there something wrong with being in his 20 years of age and the team have to write code for is 2 years older than you. Most companies that have worked in the last decade have tried subcontracting. Today, about half of my work is fixing code written oursourced some developers may have knowledge of the syntax of the language (Yes, I have said almost known), but I had no idea about writing a good performance and easy to update the code. Models Design …… forget and know even less by using design patterns. I pay for those who know you really need to close your data reader.
