What is the best music creation software to use a computer with Windows XP?

I want a computer program which allows me to make new songs adding rhythms and sounds, and allow me to make remixes of songs from my library on my computer. Also a program that not too expensive and I could buy.

Depends on how much you want to program your own sounds loops verus kept by the institution samples pre and songs you want to mix. I'm always a big fan of acid — Hometown Sonic Foundry, but now a product offered by Sony Music: http://www.sonymediasoftware.com/products/acidfamily.asp Acid is excellent for working with loops – you can stretch and transpose loops time to work with loops and others from other sources. Much of what makes people like Garageband (Apple software to entry-level music) was the pioneer in acid. The main limitation is that the acid has little or no support to create their own sounds and sequences – more arranger of a loop. Another application that stands out is Propellerheads Reason 3.0 (http://www.propellerheads.se/products/reason/) Reaon gives an entire rack of synths, samplers and effects that can be connected intuitively with virtual patch cables. Each button is designed to be adjusted Real-time and best of all these changes can be recorded for playback or setup. Finally, another application may want to check out Ableton Live is (http://www.ableton.com/index.php?main=live) in vivo is very popular among today's musicians, which is optimized for live or the progress of the creation / organization of songs. The implementation is a bit like the acid that is primarily intended to work with building blocks pre-created loop (or loops of sampled instruments or equipment) with an interface and workflow that makes it easy to add, subtract, and adjust things like the rest of the song plays. Among the 3 applications I am sure to find something that works for you. Best of all, you can download free trial versions of all applications to see for yourself. Happy remixing!
