How can I get a computer programming job if I have no experience in the real world?

I live in New York graduated in 2004 with a degree in computer science. Rather than go immediately to the ground, I worked in recent years as a boy. Now I want a job entry level in a technology company, but I have nothing to put on my CV, but experience in the service industry. I consider myself as a means "by far" set of skills in programming and issues – but I am not an expert. What should I do for me to land a career more rewarding?

It is always difficult to get a job in an area without experience. When I graduated in computer programming, I have informational interviews with programmers and IT managers, is went to local schools and check their work together, went to job fairs, talked to the local university IT departments are originally looked at the paper and the last time I looked for a job as a computer teacher, I found on sites web companies I was interested to see if they had vacancies. I also talked to everyone I met that I was looking for work. My first IT job I have to go to a job and a college contact with a company that had published his work, they were looking new employees who could "mold". Another IT work, I told a friend that a friend had said he wanted a job, but do not care what it was .. hot and his manager ended up working at a Fortune 500 company. The first IT teaching position since I had a new friend of a friend told me about the right person to talk to find a part-time job and after sending my application and resume to their human resources department and was ignored … I got the job that I just go to the website of the Order and the application for Working … lot of time is not what you know but who you know as well. Good luck!
